On Nov. 11th EurasTech Corp. Held “Korea-Russia Industrial Hi-Tech Forum” in Seoul.
More than 100 South Korean and Russian prominent researchers, business figures specializing in developing innovative industrial technologies gathered in Seoul on November 11-12 for a one-of-a-kind international forum on academic approaches towards commercialization of innovative technologies hosted by SBC (Small and Medium Business Corp) and organized by EurasTech Corp.
The inaugural Korean-Russian international Forum opened at Seoul on November 11th for a two-day run. It is the first time that such a sophisticated international forum specializing in innovative technologies for various industries was held in Korean capital.
The forum was attended by 140 South Korean, Russian and CIS scholars, officials and representatives of private sector, mainly small and medium enterprizes, interested in developing new contacts and widening ways to exchange experience in the field of innovative technologies. Prominent Russian scientists and business figures shared projects and advanced industrial technologies with Korean SME in the variety of fields such as engineering, optics, nanotechnology, electronics, energy, TRIZ.
Scholars who delivered speeches at the Forum, among others, included Dr. Vladimir Shakhov, Chief Research Fellow at Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics, Siberian brunch of Russian Academy of Sciences (keynote speech), MATRIZ VP Dr. of Sci. Leonid Chechurin, professor at Lappeenranta University, Finland and Research fellow at St.Petersburg Polytechnical university and Dr. Timur Atabaev, Asst. Professor from National University of Uzbekistan.
The mission of this Forum was to co-ordinate industry and science efforts to increase the competitiveness of Korean SME manufacturing industry. "We aim to do so by fostering the development, and speeding up the market uptake of EuRussian advanced manufacturing technologies by industry", said Forum organizing committee member. Advanced manufacturing includes all production solutions that can improve the productivity (production speed, operating precision, and energy and materials consumption) and to improve waste and pollution of manufacturing production both in traditional sectors and emerging industries.
Forum was also attended by Russian Tula region delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of Tula Government Denis Tikhonov and specialists from Russian Trade representation in Rep. Of Korea.
