SBC to hold Korea-Eurasia Industrial Technology Innovation & Commercialization Forum (KEITICF-2014) in November

More than 100 South Korean and Russian prominent researchers, business figures specializing in developing innovative industrial technologies will gather in Seoul on Novermber 11th for a one-of-a-kind international forum on academic approaches towards commercialization of innovative technologies, forum organizing committee representative said Wednesday.
The inaugural Korean-Russian international Forum is scheduled to open at Seoul on Novermber 11th for a two-day run. It is the first time that such a sophisticated international forum specializing in innovative technologies for various industries is being held, according to Eurastech Corp., organizer of the event.
The forum is expected to draw more than 100 South Korean, Russian and CIS scholars, officials and representative of private sector, mainly small and medium enterprizes, interested in developing new contacts and widening ways to exchange experience in the field of innovative technologies. Prominent Russian scientists and business figures will share projects and advanced industrial technologies with Korean SME in the variety of fields such as optics, nanotechnology, metallurgy; electronics, energy, etc.
Scholars who are expected to deliver speeches at the Forum include Dr. Vladimir Shakhov, Chief research fellow at Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics, Siberian brunch of Russian Academy of Sciences, TRIZ expert Dr. of Sci. Leonid Chechurin, professor at Lappeenranta University, Finland and Research fellow at St.Petersburg Polytechnical university and specialist on optics Dr. Gorshkov, Deputy Director of Vavilov State Optical institute.
The mission of this Forum is to co-ordinate industry and science efforts to increase the
competitiveness of Korean SME manufacturing industry. "We aim to do so by fostering the
development, and speeding up the market uptake of EuRussian advanced manufacturing
technologies by industry", says Forum organizing committee member. Advanced manufacturing includes all production solutions
that can improve the productivity (production speed, operating precision, and energy
and materials consumption) and/or to improve waste and pollution of manufacturing
production both in traditional sectors and emerging industries. KEITICF aims to foster the
adoption of advanced manufacturing by Korean SME industry in order to increase its competitiveness.
